A Dream in the Garden is the story of my life told through photography and poetry. It begins with the three years I spent living in Tanzania, moves outward into the wider world, journeys through six years of life in the United States, and finally turns inward , into the landscapes of the self.
The project unfolds across six chapters, each a different terrain of emotion, memory, and transformation:
• A Silent Dance — the opening journey, rooted in my life in Tanzania: a place where everything began, quietly and unexpectedly.
• Wild Elegy — a reflective exploration of desire, instinct, and the raw animal emotions that shape us.
• A Dream in the Garden — a search for the worlds beyond the visible; a journey between dreams, myths, and the unknown.
• I See America — a daily ritual of living, witnessing, and understanding my life in the United States.
• New Olympia — an inward descent into self-reflection, struggle, and the slow work of acceptance.
• Something Untitled — a meditative space of abstraction, where thoughts are allowed to take new shapes and perspectives.
Together, these chapters form a single story: an ongoing search for meaning, identity, and the quiet garden within.
